He is one of the main architects of URMC’s multimodal approach to addressing clinician burnout by supporting individuals and making institutional changes in his hospital role of Medical Director of the Medical Faculty and Clinician Wellness Program. In 2015, Dr. Privitera began chairing the taskforce on clinician burnout for the Medical Society of the State of New York (MSSNY). He is also nationally involved as a member of the Federation of State Medical Boards Task Force on Physician Burnout, as well as the National Collaborative for Healing and Renewal in Medicine (CHARM) centered in MGH/Harvard and Mt.
